The Les Gets ski area is outstanding and suitable for all levels. It is a perfect family resort and is also ideal for younger skiers who can safely experience the pleasure of winter sports. For the more adventurous the Portes Du Soleil offers breathtaking skiing across a vast area with adjoining Morzine and Avoriaz adding to the immediate challenges of Les Gets. 650 km of slopes for all levels, cross country skiing and a variety of snowparks help visitors to get the most out of this huge territory. There are many restaurants on the slopes above the village that cater for all tastes and expenditure from snacks to gourmet foods. For après-ski strolls the main street in the town is reserved solely for pedestrians 5 days a week. There is both a ski bus and a ‘petit train’ service linking all the lifts. Golf - the 18 hole Les Gets course is open from June to October (check dates) and offers exceptional panoramic views including a view over Mont Blanc on the 14th. Morzine/Avoriaz has a spectacular 9 hole course. World class Championship course at Evian (40 mins). Annecy, Chamonix and Megeve all have their own courses (60mins) www.golflesgets.com
Swimming Lake – open from June to
August (check dates). Lake is supervised and the average water
temperature is 22 degrees. A paddling area is available for
the younger swimmers. Adventure Parc – open June to September. offering more than 86 games over seven courses. www.aventure-parc.fr/lesgets White Water Rafting – on the River Dranse Tennis – two courts available free of charge May to November. Day Trips - Les Gets is well situated for day trips to many beautiful and interesting places. Annecy and the shore towns of Lake Geneva are well worth exploring. There are many other lakes and waterfalls which make for brilliant picnic and walking venues.
